Early this year, the Canadian government said they would put less funding into medical things that weren't necessary life-saving operations, such as sex change surgery. The Canadian transexual community protested against this funding cutback, and the ringleader said that some of them would be SO SAD that they would kill themselves, and that makes sex change surgery a necessary life-saving operation.

Facepalm.

TRANSEXUAL != STUPID EMO TEENAGER

If I was a tranadian I would've been so insulted. But since I'm not, I facepalmed and lawled at his silliness.

Actually, if transexual DID mean "stupid emo teenager" then I would be giving the protesters my support to put more funding into anti-emo surgery..... ;) heheheh

Really? Which level of government? Late last year, Ontario put sex change surgery back on the covered list (though not the various drugs or anything). Though I gotta agree with you on the lawl there.
